Alex Kovacs (b.1992) is a self-taught ceramic artist and designer from the Greater Boston Area of Massachusetts. He had his first solo show titled “Endless Vessel” in 2018 with Resort Gallery in Baltimore which led to subsequent shows, “Cartoon Graveyard” in 2019 with SuperDutchess (now BelowGrand) in NYC, “Futures Passed” in 2020 with Paradigm Gallery and “Online/ Offline” in 2021 with New Collectors Gallery, NYC. His hand-built ceramics are black and white, planar, and suggest a digital perfection in their linear patterns and grids. Slim, similar vases are adorned in charms, chains, handles and stretch the language of the traditional ceramic vessel into fashion and architecture. He currently lives and works in Burlington, Vermont.
