As long as daylight illuminates the room, the design essentially acts as a mirror. Shaped like a lens, convex, it evokes the historical variations of what we are now accustomed to as a mostly flat surface. In addition, the glass was traditionally melted and then silvered by hand, with the inevitable imperfections of this process deliberately sought out and given a right to exist here. So that the reflection does not so much introduce us to our image but brings us closer to our existence and our being, constantly reshaped by time.

Behind this convex surface, an elegant structure looms, which at the same time is the support that delicately attaches the lens to the wall. Depending on the position from which one looks through the glass, it is sometimes prominent, sometimes subtle. Handcrafted in copper, it is a structure that contains a lamp. Its delicate glow is a horizontal beam, like the light that escapes through the crack under a door. Because the mirror is slightly detached from the wall, the light also slips underneath, casting a circular aura and evoking a contemplative atmosphere.

The Mirror at Dusk, Tube Light is available in three different sizes.
